                                                                            T’ai Chi

T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art. Though once learned in sufficient depth it can be a highly effective form of self-defense, it is mainly practiced for its mental and physical health benefits. Because the art is practiced in slow, flowing, graceful movements with an attention to inner as well as outer, it is suited for people of all ages and most physical conditions
Tai Chi seeks a harmony of the mind and a moving body. It is about becoming a more energetic being by releasing the physical, emotional, and mental blocks common to modern society. It is about relaxing into life and enjoying the power that results. For the body it is a physical exercise; for the mind it is a study of concentration, discipline, and visualization; for the spirit it is a system of meditation.

We have over forty-five years combined experience in the martial arts and have been teachers of the Yang style t’ai chi for more than twenty years.

        The video has an overview of tai chi and its benefits, 
stretching and qigong exercises for warming up, and complete instruction for the Yang style short form. Once learned it takes from
7 to 12 minutes to perform depending on speed.
